Conclusions
1. The results of this study are consistent with previous individual studies. However the above analysis gives a better understanding of the spatial pattern and the different cue that effect flowering in the regions.
2. CART analysis gives climate thresholds that correspond to inducing flowering in dipterocarps. The thresholds can be used to monitor the possibility of flowering induction.
3. Variables chosen in this study can be used fairy successful to predict flowering using random forest. However more factors can be looked at such as elevation and soil fertility.
